Nestled in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection has unveiled a stunning redesign that reimagines back-to-nature luxury. This comprehensive renovation, in collaboration with the esteemed Chad Dorsey Design firm, introduces refreshed public spaces, a new signature restaurant named Leatherflower, and two exquisite Mountain Top Tree House Suites. These updates promise to elevate the guest experience, offering a blend of elegance and natural beauty.

The Lodge at Primland stands as the property's centerpiece, embodying a regal yet welcoming atmosphere. Renowned designer Chad Dorsey has seamlessly blended casual sophistication with the warmth and hospitality characteristic of the Southeastern region. Drawing inspiration from his roots in eastern Tennessee, Dorsey's designs reflect the region's charm and spirit as an outdoor haven. The Lodge features warm textiles, American quilts inspired by local traditions, and contemporary touches that harmonize with the resort's world-class amenities.

The Great Hall within the Lodge is a two-story space offering breathtaking views of the rolling fairways and Blue Ridge Mountains. This primary gathering place for guests boasts refined interiors with a mix of antique, American, European, and custom furniture. Plaid and floral fabrics add depth and texture, while handcrafted wooden mantels around two fireplaces create inviting focal points for sharing stories and making new memories in Virginia’s Highlands. In the Study, a custom desk and built-in bookshelves showcase locally sourced artwork, books, and artifacts, enhancing the guests' engagement with the region's rich heritage.

Primland’s newest culinary gem, Leatherflower, anchors the enhancement project with its farm-to-table philosophy. The restaurant, recently awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator, captures the essence of Southern Appalachian cuisine. Executive Chef Zach Long's seasonal menus feature ingredients from the resort’s farm and greenhouse, as well as local suppliers. Signature dishes like sorghum lacquered quail, breaded Cheshire pork cutlet, and grass-fed dry-aged Niman Ranch ribeye celebrate the bounty of the land.

Leatherflower's design conveys the whimsical spirit of the South with exposed beams, floral grasscloth wallcoverings, and expansive windows framing stunning landscape views. The dining space is thoughtfully arranged with elegant tables and upholstered chairs, inviting guests to savor panoramic views of the majestic mountains. Vibrant patterns and abundant greenery further immerse diners in the unique culinary experience.

The addition of two Mountain Top Tree Houses marks a significant expansion of Primland's luxury suite offerings. Perched above the Dan River Gorge, these treehouse suites provide unparalleled views of the Kibler Valley and its abundant wildlife. Custom programming and dining experiences curated exclusively for these treetop hideaways allow guests to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty while enjoying modern amenities.
